About me
Hello, this is Sharon Oshatz. I was raised in New York City but moved to New Jersey in my last year of high school. I have always been searching for greater meaning in my life; a purpose, a passion…the importance of giving to and sharing with others. I express that passion in all aspects of my life. I manage two health centers for the indigent and uninsured and supervise (coach/mentor) a staff of 21…I manage a residence for 8 people who live with physical disabilities…I teach others to become Emergency Medical Technicians…I teach CPR to our community and prepare others to become instructors…I work with Mary Kay Cosmetics to share the beauty that each one of us has inside…I am a member of Magnetic Freedom Global Community, Giblink, and DELFIN World and share personal development principles with others…I am a volunteer member of our community first aid squad…and I am an active participant in the lives of my family and friends (those I hold most dear)…
I am passionate about my own personal growth and discovery but how wonderful to be able to share that with others! There is such joy for me when I see that glorious, sweet click of understanding in someone’s eyes…that aha! moment.
I have lived in poverty and see the effects of it every day in the two health centers I manage. I am also committed to making a difference - in the spirit of “tikkun olam” - repairing the world (one person at a time).
For as long as I can remember I’ve been sort of “off-beat” from the people around me…growing up, this made me shy and I lacked self-confidence…but somehow I always knew that there was something more to my life…something I couldn’t quite express to others…a passion and purpose. I believed that my path would take me into a field that served and supported people in a way that I had not been.
I’ve faced many challenges professionally, physically, and emotionally, as we all have…but I am grateful for my life’s experiences and for those that have touched my life because they have molded me into the person I have become…someone that respects the beauty of life, the human spirit in all its glory, and the Universe of which we are all a part.
I firmly believe that every lesson of life is to be cherished…that success, peace, abundance, hope and joy are all part of what we deserve.
Two of my favorite quotes:
“In every journey there is meaning. In every conflict, there is growth. In every action there is purpose. In every moment of doubt, remember to believe in yourself.” Author unknown
“Thoughts become things, choose the good ones.” Mike Dooley
